We are so close! Well, kind of. Thirty-one days until September 1st, the first day of the BEST time of the year: The “ber’s”!!! Four months of cooler/colder weather, pants, coffee, pumpkin spice, autumn birthdays, harvesting and preserving, football, ghost stories, cozy blankets, etc. , etc., …..

Yesterday, I made a post saying farewell to July 2026. I shared that I had some sourdough bread started and it had a lot of work to do. It did a fabulous job! I didn’t take an after shot, but it rose SO beautifully. Here is what I baked off this morning, along with some banana nut muffins from the discard for DH and DD when she gets home later today:
